It then delves deeper into the concept and purpose of modeling, concluding with hands-on activities designed to enable participants to practice modeling visual supports effectively.

Preschool Core Board Training

Purpose: Responding to direct requests from a local school district's preschool teachers, this training was developed to equip both teachers and paraeducators with essential knowledge and practical skills for implementing core boards. The program provides foundational information on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies, followed by in-depth instruction on light-tech core boards. The training uniquely incorporates current staff video examples, dedicated hands-on practice with materials, and collaborative planning time for teams to develop immediate implementation strategies.
