Certificate Description:
E-learning instructional design is the practice of creating content for students who access learning or training materials via virtual platforms. In this certificate program, students gain skills for and knowledge of all aspects of the field, including course structure; standard and emerging tools and technologies; delivery formats; planning, scheduling and budgeting; and qualitative and quantitative assessment. They also learn how to repurpose existing materials for interactivity and online delivery.

They learn about different delivery formats and courseware packages, virtual/augmented reality, accessibility issues, and budgeting and planning challenges. Students also discover how to create project and communication plans to help manage a course.
Designing E-Learning Enviornments
Course Description:
In this course, students explore the essential elements of design for e-learning environments. They learn how to select the appropriate technology and course structure, how to set instructional objectives, how to use instructional concepts to organize distance learning units, and techniques for providing interaction in web-based and online environments. Students also learn strategies for ensuring that learners are motivated and have the skills to function in a distance-learning setting.
