e-Learning Courses

Project Type: eLearning Course

Date: August 2025

Tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Narakeet, Padlet

Primary Responsibilities: Course content updates and revisions

Target Audience: Early Childhood Educators

Time: 30 minutes

Purpose:

I originally created this course in March of 2025 using the iSpring Suite software. I rebuilt this course from ground up in Articulate Storyline 360. A key part of the redesign involved applying the e-learning principles of Clark and Mayer, specifically focusing on the Redundancy Principle (using audio and text simultaneously). The final course was more engaging, visually appealing, and effective in helping learners master the content.

Understanding Visual Boundaries: A Course Redesign

Project Type: eLearning Course

Date: March 2025

Tools: iSpring, Powerpoint

Primary Responsibilities: Needs analysis, Training Plan, Design and Development

Target Audience: Early Childhood Educators, Parents, Caregivers

Time: 20-30 minutes

Purpose: This training series was developed following a needs analysis that pinpointed specific training opportunities for early childhood educators, particularly concerning visual supports. The analysis revealed a gap in educators' understanding, not just of what visual supports are, but also of their various types and appropriate application. "Understanding Visual Boundaries" is the second module in the Visual Supports Series. This course delves into how to identify when a visual boundary is needed and selecting the appropriate boundary for various situations.

Visual Boundary Role Playing Activity

Project Type: Branching Role Play Scenario

Date: March 2025

Tools: iSpring, Powerpoint

Primary Responsibilities: Needs analysis, Training Plan, eLearning Design and Development

Target Audience: Early Childhood Educators

Problem: The role playing activity was designed to assist early childhood educators by providing an interactive guide on how to assess the necessity of visual boundary supports. This activity empowers learners to decide the types and number of questions they wish to explore before reaching a conclusion. By engaging with three student scenarios, participants will enhance their understanding of the relevant questions to ask and how to evaluate whether a specific type of visual support is required.

Project Type: Branching Role Play Scenario

Date: August 2025

Tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Narakeet

Primary Responsibilities: Scenario content updates and revisions

Target Audience: Early Childhood Educators

Problem: I originally created this branching scenario in iSpring in March of 2025. This scenario is one activity within the larger Understanding Visual Boundaries course. In this updated course, I have added optional closed captions, optional button to hear text audio red, easy to see changes when you have viewed a student, question, or prompt, and a built in requirement to visit all three students.
